welcome aboard.

Here I am. Since working should be the main occupation in the man's life this is my home page, even if browsing the "who am I" section you might discover I don't work that much:-)

Nonetheless I'm still a (frustrated) filmaker, a photographer, multimedia content creator for the Web and mobile devices, a DVD author and low cost Digital Cinema consultant. I should be considered an author, that is someone developing for itself, but since struggling to express personal vision and creativity often leaves you with a valuable experience I decided to offer 20+ years spent creating multimedia assets (from pictures to fully blown websites) to those aiming to concentrate themselves mostly on the creative process. Good for them.

In other words to offer services in relation to the following fields:

WEB

A) Optimization, encoding and distribuition of audiovisual sources in RealVideo 10, WindowsMedia 9 / VC-1, QuickTime 7-H264, Flash Spark or On2VP6 and DivX for HTTP download (video on demand) and Real Time Streaming by  world class networks like Akamai, Limelight, MirrorImage e VitalStream or free as GoogleVideo, YouTube, ZippyVideos, Vineo, OurMedia, iFilm, InternetArchive and BlipTV can be.

B) Digital Right Management implementation on Windows Media plattform and for those networks suporting it (ie Vitaltream) or simple digital wallets like PayPal.

C) QuickTime interactive development that makes  movies in this format a true engaging experience by  the use of buttons, links, chapters, non linear navigation, live text, multilingual audiotracks switching based on the installed operating system, graphic skins etc.

D) Video and audio mpeg-4- (part 2 and 10) "podcasting" for Apple iPod 5G, Sony Play Station Portable memory cards or UMD, Archos Gmini, Creative Zen, PalmOs devices and for those equipped with Windows XP Mobile Ed.

E) Audiobooks for iPod

F) Interactive eBooks  (electronic books) using Adobe Acrobat 7Pro.

G) Immersive imaging panoramas, even multinodes: where all the scenes are connected each other by clickable hotspots. These panos can cover up to 360¡ H per 180¡V and be distributed as QuickTime VR files, Java Applets, Flash or Shockwave movies, ActiveX controls (windows only) and stand-alone executables to run locally in a kiosk like installation.

H) Stereographic imaging to be viewed as anaglyphs as is or  in all other formats used by the help of a Java Applet (there are many available). I mean: cross  view, parallel view, interlaced, Page flipping in case of a quad-buffer graphic adapter  is installed on the computer  and so on.

I) High and very High (up to 1 Gigapixel) images obtained via the digital stitching process of an array of small frames shot accordingly. The result can be printed or browsed on line with plug ins like Zoomyfier or whatever Flash custom interface that allow to zoom almost freely the above mentioned picture.

SDDVD AUTHORING - 1080i BLUERAYS, 720p WMV MEDIA CENTER & DIVX ULTRA menu based Titles

A) Conforming, optimization and source film  state of the art encoding in Mpeg-2 up to the high profile 36Mbits/s as speciefied by  BRD and HDDVD alliances, H264 and VC-1.

B) Graphics layout for the navigation menus

C) Assembling the video angles eventually defined, all the audio tracks as well as the subpictures (subtitles and graphics used to highlight the active navigational button on the tv screen).

C) Navigation  links setup, Regional Coding setup, PUO (prohibited User Operations) and anti-copy flags like the Content Scrambling system, the Macrovision analogic protection  or, as an alternative, the GSMS that permits to set a max number of copies allowed.

DIGITAL CINEMA

A) Conforming, that is the preprocess for blowing up to 2048*1556px of HDV/HDTV footage (unwise if starting from a PAL/NTSC resolution:-). In other words Mocomp  deinterlacing, resizing or direct cross converting among 576i-p > 720p > 1080i || 720p > 1080i > 576i || 1080i > 720p > 576i.

B)  Cine-like processing of video sources by the modification of the gamma's logarithm for which video signal is stored and mapped on TV displays to resamble the "S" shaped analogic response to the light; deinterlacing, per channel increment of the saturation, chromatic characterization or digital imitation of chemical processes like bleach bypass and the cross processing (C41>E6 or viceversa), eventually addition of film glows on specular lights and  a small amount of grain, if any.

C) delivery of the job to a printing facility for film distribuition or direct digital encoding as DVDs, BRD, WMVHD DVDs and 720p DivX Ultra; web or mobile devices delivery in all the formats shown above.
